Bashabo Buddha Mandir (also Basabo Buddhist Monastery) is located in Bashabo of Dhaka which is a prayer place for Buddhist people. It was built during 1962 to conduct the activities for Buddhist community along side the prayer, teaching, and meditation. This temple has a medium sized pond inside and beside this you’d find a large golden status of Lord Buddha standing on the Lotus.

During the Buddhist festival (which is known as Buddha Purnima) this place become become a nice festival area along with the prayers. The festival day is always the full moon day. Lot of Buddhist devotees use to gather here for prayer. There is a big statue of Lord Buddha available inside the monastery premise. People use to encircle around the statue. You would see people are flying Chinese lantern (locally known as Fanush) on that day. I’ve gone there to see that but it was just finished before I reached there.
